Angama Mara

The property

Angama Mara sits on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, 500 metres above the Masai Mara. The tented suites are cantilevered over the cliff edge, with a view across the entire Mara ecosystem — on a clear morning you can see the Tanzanian border. Game drives depart at dawn and dusk in open Land Rovers with a dedicated ranger and a resident Maasai guide who has tracked this land since childhood. The lodge has a darkroom and a photography guide for guests with cameras. The Great Migration passes directly below between July and October. A helicopter pad connects to Nairobi Wilson Airport in forty-five minutes.
